Seven Gulf of Finland beaches: planning a visit

These seven places are ideas for time by the gulf, not confirmed motorboat landing points. A sandy shore does not guarantee a safe approach, mooring or permitted boarding. Agree a specific place, depth, approach conditions and return with the captain first; if landing is unconfirmed, keep the shore visit separate from the boat trip.

For Zelenogorsk, plan the whole day: travel, time ashore and the return. If part of the journey is by water, request an estimate from your pier and separate confirmation of the landing point. A beach visit is not automatically part of a short city hire.

Solnechnoye is an option for a walk and a group gathering ashore. Agree the meeting point separately from any proposed boat approach: convenient pedestrian access says nothing about conditions from the water.

This urban shoreline can combine a park walk with views of modern St Petersburg. Discuss a water route towards Lakhta Center separately. A beach beside the park does not mean passengers can be collected directly from the sand.

The name Sestroretsk beach is not precise enough for a meeting: choose a specific shoreline section and landmark. A boat visit also needs a landing point, arrangements for waiting and a return plan for the whole group.

Compare these two destinations for a quiet day by the water and a shoreline walk. Choose one main place to avoid spending the day travelling between stops. For a family visit, check facilities, food and the return journey; for a boat, confirm the approach to the agreed landing point.

For a more distant destination, travelling time and a time buffer matter especially. Before hiring a boat, compare water and land travel, agree contact with the organiser and plan the return if weather changes. A secluded shoreline does not imply an equipped mooring.

Do not choose a swimming spot from a photograph or an old article. Check current restrictions and water conditions for the particular beach and date. Swimming from the boat requires the captain’s explicit permission and compliance with the stated conditions; it is not an automatic part of hire.
