On-board amenities
Understand the specifications used in boat selection and the details to discuss before your trip.
- ToiletAn on-board toilet is particularly important for a longer trip or when travelling with children. Before boarding, clarify access while underway and the layout of the passage leading to it.
- CabinA cabin provides an enclosed space during the trip. Its presence does not mean there are enough berths for every guest or that an overnight stay is included in the hire.
- Enclosed saloonAn enclosed saloon provides space inside the vessel. Seating at the table, banquet options and window views depend on the layout of the particular vessel.
- HeatingHeating can be useful in cool weather. Before booking, clarify which part of the vessel is heated and whether the equipment will be operating during your trip.
- CanopyA canopy shelters part of the space on board. The size of the covered area and whether the canopy can be used while underway depend on the vessel’s design and the weather.
- Open deckAn open deck is suitable for viewing the city from the water. The captain determines how many guests may use it and whether access is allowed while underway.
- Audio systemAn audio system allows music to be played on board. Agree the connection method, volume and whether additional equipment can be brought in advance.
- BluetoothBluetooth indicates the option of connecting wirelessly to equipment on board. Phone compatibility, access to controls and use during the trip should be clarified.
- KitchenA kitchen or galley denotes a space for handling food. This does not confirm that a chef or prepared meals are available, or that any dish can be cooked on board.
- FridgeA fridge helps store food and drinks during the trip. Its capacity, available space and rules for storing your own food are clarified before boarding.
- Air conditioningAir conditioning can maintain a comfortable temperature in the enclosed part of the vessel. The area cooled and operating mode depend on the equipment on the particular vessel.
- ShowerA shower can be convenient on a longer trip. Access, water supply and use during the hire are agreed with the vessel’s representative.
- BlanketsBlankets can be useful in the open part of the vessel. Check how many are available for your group; blankets do not replace clothing suitable for the weather.
